| Job Description: | Housekeepers work as a team. The number of rooms is divided equally between the number of teams scheduled to work on a particular day. The objective of a 2-member team is to thoroughly clean and restock each room in a timely manner. Tasks of Housekeepers are but are not limited to: - Making beds - Vacuuming - Dusting - Restocking - Washing bathrooms, tubs, Jacuzzis, sinks, toilets, floors and all glass surfaces - Cleaning room’s kitchen, including floor, cupboards, sink, oven, stove, range hood, dishwasher and refrigerator Housekeepers must be able to walk, stand, bend and reach in a full range of motion throughout their workday. They also must be able to lift up to 30 pounds (15 Kg). A throughout cleaning job must be performed in a timely fashion. After 2 weeks of on the job training, the housekeeping employees should be able to complete their daily tasks with minimal supervision. |
| Starting Wage: | Starting at $7.75/hr. No tips allowed. Overtime is paid 1.5 times the regular wage. Overtime starts applying after 40 hours worked in the same week. |
| English Skills Required: | At least average English communication skill required. An outgoing and friendly personality is a must |
| Work Hours: | Participants will have a flexible schedule that may change each week based on the resort’s needs. The participants are expected to work weekends, since this is the busiest time for the resort. The participants will have a minimum of 30 work hours per week guaranteed and will work 3-6 days per week, 4-8 hours per day. |
| Meals: | Not provided. Employees may eat in the Employee Lunch Room when working, which provides balanced meals at an affordable price. |
| Uniform: | Participants will wear a uniform. The cost of the uniform is $30 - $80. Participants need to bring with them comfortable black shoes or snickers and black pants (no jeans, cargos or crops). The participants are expected to bath every day and wear deodorant. No excessive make up or jewelry is allowed. Tattoos must be covered at all times and facial piercing jewelry must be removed while working. Hair must be clean and tied back. Men must be clean-shaven. |
