| Arrival Instructions: | Closest International Airport is Logan - Boston, MA (125 miles away). Busses run from Airport to Hyannis all day - late arrival means no Wellfleet connection. VERY late arrival (evening) means overnight in Boston and bus to Hvannis next day. Bus from Boston to Hyannis - then Bus to Wellfleet. Pick-up at Wellfleet bus station will be arranged with each student individually or in groups. It varies on arrival time. Students should maintain contact through e-mail and by phone | |
| Work Uniforms: | Tees provided by the employer. Students provide clean shorts and closed toe shoes. | |
| Housing: | Shared dorm for girls. Furnished with bed sheets, pillows, kitchen equipment, NO towels. Mandatory. Cost is $100/week. Deducted from pay checks. $200 deposit (refundable if clean and no damage to property at the end of employment). No guests after 9pm, no parties (ever). | |
| Transportation: | Local shuttle bus can take students to and from work. Cost is $1.50 each way and the employers pays for it. | |
| Other Important Info: | Students will be paid before receiving their Social Security card. Wellfleet is a small village, with thousands of summer visitors. Foreign workers are well received and appreciated. Everything is within 1 km of home: food, library (internet), stores, other jobs. Students can walk. Local grocery store is expensive, but lower prices are available in nearby Orleans or Provincetown. Students have to pay for food at Box Lunch; no food taking without paying. Loss of job will result in loss of housing. Leaving housing will result in loss of job. Living a lifestyle that lowers the effectiveness of student’s work will be cause for dismissal.
